Por fín he podido hablar con José. Desde Kilpisjarvi me llamó el domingo para ponerme al día de su solitario viaje. La pena es que hasta su vuelta no podremos disfrutar de sus fotos. La tecnología no nos da para tanto.

Un otoño avanzado ya se ha instalado en Laponia. Las primeras nieves (esas que no sirven para nada, sólo para retrasar al caminante y para entorpecer a los cosechadores de patatas) ya han hecho acto de presencia. La temperatura ronda los cero grados y las auroras boreales asoman entre las estrellas las noches frías y rasas. 

Dentro de unos cinco días José y Lonchas llegarán a Abisko (Suecia). Este es un pequeño pueblo situado a la entrada del Parque Nacional de su mismo nombre. A escasos kilómetros desde el pueblo se encuentra el centro de interpretación a orillas del lago Tornetrask, el más grande en extensión de Laponia. Este centro de interpretación dispone de un refugio donde supongo que José hará noche.

Pocas noticias más he recibido de José. Lonchas resulta ser un gran compañero y está creciendo a pasos agigantados  (nunca mejor dicho). Cuando entran en los pocos pueblos por los que pasan los niños le miran con los ojos como platos debido a su tamaño enorme. Me ha contado que siempre exclaman lo mismo:

¡Mira mamá, un lobo!
